Isabel Noboa Biography
Isabel Noboa is the daughter of the late Ecuadorian businessman Luis Noboa Naranjo, founder of the Noboa Corporation, and Isabel Pontón Ávila, who had six children, one of them businessman and politician Álvaro Noboa.
Noboa left Ecuador at age twelve to go to study at St. George's School in Clarens, Switzerland. Later he would take distance economics classes with the University of London. After returning to Guayaquil, he married Isidro Romero Carbo at the age of twenty-one and had three children: Isabel María Romero de Campana, Melissa Romero de Zurita and Isidro Romero Noboa. In 1968 he opened a language academy (English and French) in his residence, in 1974 he closed the academy and began his philanthropic work with a foundation in support of adoption.
In 1994, after the death of his father Luis Noboa, discrepancies occur between the heirs of this, until they finally reach a settlement agreement in 1997.
All this happened while their marriage was going through a serious crisis. Of the agreement, Isabel Noboa corresponded to part of the companies of the former Noboa Corporation with which the Nobis Consortium will begin, along with her sister Diana, who would later move aside given the economic situation of the country at that time.
In 1998 Isabel Noboa divorces by mutual agreement of Isidro Romero, with whom she currently manages a cordial relationship, also with the Romero family, to the point that she and her current spouse are regular guests invited to family parties, and in 2007, He married Dr. Agustín Loor for the second time in the middle of a luxurious ceremony held Thursday at his La Moraleja mansion on Via a Samborodon, where several personalities from Guatemalan and Ecuadorian high society met.
